MHRC Competitive Racers: Dryland Program 2023/24

Our competitive program registration includes dryland training sessions held Sunday from 9:30/10:00 am to noon at Glen Eden or alternate event location, beginning in October and ending in November. Program participation is not mandatory but is a great way for athletes to work on their fitness level to prepare for the racing season. The program offers a variety of fun and challenging activities supervised by MHRC coaches focused on improving the athleteโ€™s overall level of fitness. Participants will be engaged in various outdoor endurance and strength activities plus additional fee-based activities including mountain biking, a ski tuning session and aerial climbing at the GE Challenge course (these activities are supervised by external trained and certified instructors). All activities are limited to athlete participation. Parents are welcome to spectate by registering separately through the HRCA reservation system here.

It is mandatory for allย  participants to have completed the AOA (Alpine Ontario Association) registration . The season membership and fee payment is accessed via SnowReg here.ย  This registration must be completed prior to attending any club sanctioned activities, including dryland sessions, to ensure athletes have insurance coverage.

For those who are attending you are required to fill out the Glen Eden โ€œInformed Consentโ€ form. This form will need to be completed for all Glen Eden/Kelso based activities.

Registration is required in advance of each Sunday session on TeamSnap (*links to TeamSnap are provided in the training schedule posted on the right- expand to view them) ย and complete online payment for activities where required.

Registration will be required by NOON (12pm) on the Friday before each Sunday session.ย  For the non-Kelso based activities, registration will close earlier (details to be announced) as the venues require extra notice of anticipated numbers.

Participants are requested to wear weather appropriate athletic clothing, personal water bottles and a yoga-style mat for ground cover. There are no make-up sessions for weather related cancellations or non-attendance.
