Hello MHRC families,

In-season we share a weekly blog on race results or other happenings around the club. Please always feel free to share pictures you take with your respective team managers.

With Mother Nature having challenged us, last weekend wasn’t what we hoped it would be… where we had planned to compete in our first races of the year, those got postponed. Our competitive teams made the best of it with a glorious training day up at Mt. St. Louis Moonstone.  MHRC member Craig Bremen’s said it best, “What a great day, sun, ski and awesome snow and racers. Days like these, along with the really miserable ones we endure create our memories.  Today was good… to making more good days, and to the miserable ones that cement us together as skiers…both have their place.”

We also got our JDL teams kicked off and going with their coaches.  It was great to see a clubhouse full of parents for our information session and smiling faces on the kids with their coaches.

Think snowy thoughts!  We will see you all soon.

Some team updates:

U16/19

U16-19 team is good news – bad news situation for this week.  The bad news is that we had a scheduled race on Saturday at Caledon that was postponed due to a lack of snow.  The good news is that this allowed the team to take advantage of some killer snow and weather at Mount Saint Louis Moonstone on Sunday.  Kudos to our outstanding coaching staff for bringing this all together and providing the group with fantastic gate training before race season begins.

U12

U12 is getting comfortable on the slopes at Mount St. Louis having spent the last two weekends making the trip north to MSLM for training.  The racers have been training hard and are excited about putting their new skills to the test at their first race next weekend.  Here we come Mansfield this weekend!
