Hi everyone.

This is a quick note to let you know that the Glen Eden Snow School volunteer and apprentice position opportunities have been posted on the Conservation Halton/Employment website. Volunteers (minimum age 13) provide assistance and support during training/lesson sessions that would include such things as helping with loading/offloading lifts, group management, assisting with moving/installing/removing training/lesson equipment, supporting race events, etc. Apprentices (minimum age 14) assist coaches/instructors with training/lesson delivery, active involvement with training/race environment setup, along with providing support similar to that of Apprentices. In both cases participants are expected to support MHRCโ€™s morning JDL program and afternoon Snow School lessons.

While gaining volunteer hours for high school credit requirements, this experience helps the participant prepare to complete the Instructor L1 course (now minimum age of 14) and apply for a paid coach/instructor position next season. During the post application process the candidate must advise of their interest to support MHRC, if not they will only be scheduled for Snow School lesson support.
