Driving past Glen Eden this week and seeing skiers on fresh snow feels like the light at the end of the tunnel. Although we are all disappointed that we are not able to see our athletes and parents at the Club this year, we hope you are getting out to enjoy the hills at Glen Eden and make the most of what has proven to be an unprecedented season to say the least.
Based on the protocols in place back at the end of 2020, we had planned for modified operation of our canteen and stocked our shelves with snacks and drinks that would have allowed us to operate safely while still providing some refueling options for our athletes. The cancellation of our racing season has changed this plan and we are looking to adapt once again.
We have put together for you a limited quantity of Family Fun Boxes. Each box contains a large selection of all of your favorites, including pop, canned juice, full size chocolate bars, candy, prepackaged cookies and individual size bags of chips. We are offering these boxes to you, our membership, at a price of only $75 per box. Please see the included photos for an approximation of what you could anticipate your box to include. In each box we have also included a few extra free goodies, which we hope will help make any outdoor winter activity, be it enjoying the hills at Glen Eden or an outdoor, socially distanced get together, more comfortable.
If you would like to purchase a Family Fun Box please email us at canteen@miltonheights.com so we can arrange safe pick up and payment of your box. We have 20 boxes available and they will be available on a first come, first serve basis. Boxes can be coordinated for pick up in either Oakville, Campbellville or Mississauga. To align with current public health guidance and to ensure everyone’s safety, payment will be accepted via email money transfer, (we will provide you with the details for payment once, we’ve confirmed your box).
For those who are interested we also have a small selection of cases of bottle water, bottles of orange juice and bottles of Gatorade. Again, please contact canteen@miltonheights.com if you are interest in purchasing one or more of these cases.
