Ontario Province-wide Shutdown

By now you have likely seen that Ontario has revised its reopening framework and announced a province-wide shutdown that takes effect on December 26 and lasts through January 23.

Included in this latest announcement is the closure of ski hills during this period.

Obviously this is disappointing and frustrating news for all of us.

We remain committed to running our programs should the provincial framework allow us to do so. We will continue to work closely with Glen Eden over the coming month.

Until then, the parent information sessions scheduled for December 30th are now cancelled.

We will be back in touch with further updates as new provincial guidance becomes available.

MHRC REFUNDS

Our last update indicated that we would provide pro-rata refunds of 75% of time missed.ย  Following member questions and feedback, we have revisited this and are pleased to share that the refund will be increased to 100% of pro-rata hours, less a $75 administrative fee to help the club cover some of the significant costs that have been incurred due to COVID-19-driven changes.

Should anyone be uncomfortable participating in this season we are also prepared to have paid dues carried forward to the 2021/22 season, effectively locking in this yearโ€™s prices for next season.ย  Please email Treasurer@miltonheights.com to take advantage of this offer.

As you know we are entirely volunteer operated; the workload associated with refunds is high. Given the potential for additional changes from the province we are going to wait on processing refunds until late January. We ask for your continued patience during this period.

Letโ€™s all hope that these latest changes help to protect the health and safety of our communities so that we can get back on snow come the end of January.

In the meantime, we wish you all a safe and happy holiday season.
