Dear Parents,

With Glen Eden’s opening for skiing this weekend, the ski season has finally started. While the athletes are on the slopes, focusing on developing their skills, a lot of work being done in the background to ensure the children will be well supported in their activities. The canteen is has received a facelift and has been stocked for the season.

We would like to remind everyone that MHRC is a volunteer run organization and we need the parents’ involvement to ensure the programs run smoothly. As much as we like the snow, skiing at MHRC only lasts for 8 weeks! And time flies when you are having fun! So, please start planning on having some fun supporting our athletes, while knocking down the required volunteering hours early in the season!

A quick reminder on the required volunteering hours:

  • Development Program: Single child – 7 hrs; Two or more children – 14 hrs
    • For Development Program parents, even though your child’s program starts on Sat. Jan. 11th, please note that you can start volunteering over the holidays. The MHRC clubhouse will be open starting December 27th and you’re welcome to use our club and volunteer your time.
  • Competitive Program: Single child – 14 hrs; Two or more children – 22 hrs

The canteen/clubhouse volunteer opportunities for the season have been uploaded into Signup Genius.
