Final dryland session this Sunday…

The best indication that we’re a few snowflakes away from sliding on snow is that we’ve reached the final dryland session this season! We have a fit and fun session planned for the athletes that will require everyone to bring a hockey stick…borrow one if you don’t have one!

The session is this Sunday from 10a to noon, starting from the lower parking lot. The forecast is for warm and wet weather so dress accordingly. Athletes should bring a water bottle (room temperature liquids), mats and hockey sticks.

We will continue to focus on endurance and core strength conditioning. After some warm-up activities we’ll have several stations of cones and ladders that the athletes will cycle through followed by a long distance run the base of the hill, going from one end to the other. Following a break we’ll head out to the west end parking lot for some pick-up hockey.

Lastly a reminder for the athletes to inform the coaches about any physical limitations so that they can participate in alternate activities during the session. We don’t want to risk further or additional injury to the athlete.

See you Sunday!
