Summer Indoor Ski Training Programs & Camps

For those looking for some summer training closer to home try out Alpine Indoor Ski and Snowboard Training Centre.

Summer Fitness Programs

For those looking to keep fit there are few available options:

Ski Dryland/Fitness Camp

  • 10 Week program starting May 11 running Wednesday evening (6:30-8:30) and Saturday mornings (9am-11am)
  • Program developed and delivered by Coach Jacob
  • Minimum ages is 12 aimed at the U14/16/18 racers
  • Cost $300 with minimum of 6 kids / $225 with minimum of 8 kids
  • Registration for this program would be by MHRC Registration Portal
  • Additional Optional Fees may include:
    • YMCA drop-in fee $10/visit (planned up to 4 visits)
    • Race Fees $100 approx. (planned 2 races)
    • AOA Fitness testing $20 and required for all U14/16 races who wish to attend provincials – registration will be available via http://www.alpineontario.ca
  • Course Outline (Tentative) as follows:
    • May 11 – Introduction and prep for fitness testing
    • May 15 – AOA Fitness Testing @ York University
    • May 18 – 8-point circuit
    • May 21 – 300 workout, Conditioning workout and Team building competition
    • May 25 – P90x
    • May 28 – Warrior Dash $115.00 / Toronto Canada Rugged Maniac @ Chicopee Ski Resort $80.00-$100.00 – OPTIONAL
    • June 1 -Weight Training (Full Body)
    • June 4 – 8-point circuit
    • June 8 – 300 workout / Fitness Assessments
    • June 11 – P90x
    • June 15 – Weight training (Full Body)
    • June 18 – 8-point circuit
    • June 22 – 300 workout
    • June 25 – p90x / Fitness Assessment,
    • June 29 – Weight training (Full Body)
    • July 2 – Toronto Canada Battle Frog Obstacle Race Series 2016 $80.00- $135.00/ OR July 3rd Toronto Canada Spartan Race Super $100.00 – $ 120.00 – OPTIONAL
    • July 6 – 300 workout
    • July 9 – P90x
    • July 13 – Weight training,
    • July 16 – Coach vs. Student fun races
    • July 21 – End date

 

SBX Dryland/Fitness Camp

  • 12 week program beginning May 11 – Wednesday’s @ MHRC clubhouse 6:30-8:30 with Erik Krebs and rep from Next Level Performance Training (NLPT) in Cambridge
  • Each participant will have an individualized fitness program prepared by Erik and the trainers @ NLPT
  • This program is 3x per week with 2 sessions completed by the athletes on their own @ NLPT (no extra charge) or at their own gym
  • Cost per athlete $150+HST paid directly to NLPT
  • Registration for this program would be by MHRC Registration Portal
  • Note that this program would be delivered by NLPT and supported by coaches that work for MHRC in the winter
